I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 Z71.   I’ve been having issues with gas in the oil from almost new. Seems to happen more in cold weather.  I’ve been told by the dealership that it’s a known issue with GMs.  Apparently they truck dumps in a lot of gas when first started to try and warm up the catalytic converter (something about emission regulations), and if you usually only take short trips with your truck it doesn’t burn off the extra gas or something.  GM has no fix for it and just told people to change their driving habits. It’s ridiculous,  after warrenty runs out I’ll have to spend hundreds of dollars in oil changes over the course of a winter is they don’t do something about it.  I changed my oil at 12000km and today (at 12500km) my check engine light came on again for the same issue.
