LED resistor location

I am about to upgrade all my turn signals, front and back, to LED. For the people that have done this already, where did you guys place the inline resistors after tapping into the factory harnesses?

 

I am terrified of melting existing wiring or random plastic pieces by picking a poor place to put them lol.

Headlights - Driver's side (2nd battery location)

 

 

Taillights - Mounted on top of hitch receiver. Used steel gauge wire to secure.

Pgamboa, I guess you ran extension wire from resistors to the factory signal wiring?

If it's not too much trouble, could you PM the parts list for that mod? I know you have a Silverado and I have a Sierra, but I imagine it won't be that different.
