A friend needs a new new passenger side window motor for his 2003 Silverado 1500... I'm getting him aftermarket stuff. Should I just get motor if that's all he needs, or , or the regulator mounted with new motor on it? Just don't want to run into any problems. This is replacing factory parts.

IMHO, if it's the original unit, I'd replace the whole thing

Oh, interesting... Ok, so get the whole thing instead of just replacing the motor only. Thanks for the tip! The aftermarket version with both isn't much more, I just thought it might be more work doing the whole thing, but sounds like it might be worse only swapping the old motor itself...
