Replacing the Shocks on My "06" Chevy Silverado, 2500HD LT1

Hello, it's been a while since I've been on this forum page.

I'm getting ready to replace the shocks on my 2006 Chevy Silverado. It's 4x4, full-size bed, 4 door, extended cab, V8-400ci 6.6L Diesel LBZ Turbo Vin (D), Allison 6 speed automatic transmission with the tow package. I changed the tires to BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO - LT265/75R16E 123S RWLs.

I added as much info on my truck as I could think of. Here's the question I have. The shocks offered (I'm looking at Rancho RS9000 XLs) have different measurements associated with them, but the one that concerns me is the one that refers to "Vehicle Height." It lists 6 shocks that they say are for my truck, 3 for the front & 3 for the rear with vehicle heights from 0.00" to 6.00" & I don't which ones to choose. Could someone please explain what this refers to so I can try and figure out which ones to order? I would really appreciate any input you could offer. Thank you.

The number is referring to inches the truck is lifted. So a stock pickup would take the 0's.

Thank you for that info. It is still the way I purchased it from the dealer, except for using the torsion bolts to raise the front up to level it off. But it sure doesn't look like most stock trucks that I see on the road. I mean it sits up pretty high. When I get in, I have to climb up into it. Is there any way that I can measure from something to something to figure this out? I know, I'm a rookie, but I like to try and do most of the work on my truck myself. That way, if I can find the right stuff & find out the right way to do it, I damn sure know it will be done right! Plus I can add it to the stuff that I know. Thank you again.

What are the lengths available? If your front end is leveled ~2" and a +2" shock is available, it'd make sense to go with that. Someone might be able to chime in with the factory "z" height for your pickup and where it is measured.

The heights available are: Rear Shocks: 0.00"; 2.50" & 6.00"

Front Shocks: 0.00"; 4.00" & 6.00"
