Afe momentum gt intake issue

Does anyone know of a longer boot I can purchase from the throttle body to intake tube? The boot is cause the filter element to sit at a little bit of an angle. There's about a 4" spot where the filter element isn't pushed all the way up against the air box

You need the boot from a K&N system.

Sometimes, you may have to cross-breed parts to get things to suit.

Depends on your level of OCD, I guess.

I'm not sure how to get just the boot though. I need it about an inch longer

That's my problem, too, but I've learned to live with it.

Ebay sells 4" Id silicone couplings. I just found. In various lengths. I may try one of those. Hopefully 4 isn't to big

Mine is the same I was going to look for a longer coupling but just made sure filter is tight to the tube. Since the filter doesn't seat into the box perfectly you can't get the filter to box clamp tight

I ordered a longer coupling off eBay. Hopefully it works

Contact afe... don't spend a dime on something.. make them make it rite.. I have the same intake and I don't have that problem

There was no way around it. The coupling was exactly 1" to short. So I ordered this and problem is fixed. 3.5 inner diameter 4" long worked perfectly

What yr and engine ?? I have not installed my AFE GT momentum on my new 2017 6.2 yet still in box so will look for this

16 5.3. You have a bigger throttle body. So if you have the same issue. Measure the inside diameter and get one 4" long. Perfect. Also holds the air box tighter

I have been looking for a longer coupler for the 6.2 but I don't think they make one 4 inches long 3-3/4" to 3-1/2".  I can only find 3" or 6" long for the reducer size needed on the 6.2.  Anyone with a 6.2 find a longer coupler for the AFE intake?

Cut it down to length  3 3/4 id but 4 will work

A 6" coupler was $60.  I am going back and forth with AFE now trying to get them to send be a longer coupler.

It's easier just to get one off eBay like I did. Mine is 4" long and it's perfect.
