Help: Cannot remove power seat due to broken memory module!

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know if there is a way to manually move the 8-way power seats on the 1999-2002 silverados/ sierras? The memory module on my truck has broken and it has immobilized the entire seat. I want to repair it, however the module is no longer manufactured and nearly impossible to find (as far as I can tell). What I plan on doing is buying a used rail system complete with the module, however I do not know how I will manage to move the seat in order to get to the 4 bolts holding it down. I was hoping there may be a way to manually move the seats or find another way to get to the bolts, because as is I only have access to the front bolts.

In case anyone is wondering the seats have heat and memory. They are from my 2001 silverado 1500 lt extended cab.

Thanks

-Joe
