cnrtool Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 What would be considered normal transmission temp when towing a 2500lb boat with a 4.3 liter 2014 truck? At what point does one begin worrying with the transmission temp?
Doug Rosewood Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 I believe its a smidge below the actual engine operating temp..worst case the truck will tell you when the tranny is overheating

Hiserman79 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Some folks are doing a simple mod the what they are calling the transmission thermostat that drastically reduces trans temps. Not sure if it's a good idea or not but it seems all the rage among certain FB goups. Easy to find on you tube if interested. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
