Fuel Filter Change for 2002

I was ready to change my fuel filter this weekend, 12,000 miles. I read up on the procedure and picked up the filter. Only it turns out that the filter on my 2002 Tahoe LS is different. It only has a threaded fitting on one end - the other end appears to be a push-on of some sort. Kind of hard to believe.

 

Does anyone know the proper procedure for the newer models?

Welcome aboard, I would think that they both should be threaded one way or another. You may wish to check out the "Guides" section of the board to get a better idea of things if you haven't already. I've got a 99, so I've only monkeyed around with my filter.

what was the part number that you got? The ac delco part number is GF481
