Everyone please spare me all the advice of what I should have done. I already have that figured out...lol! I just want to give the heads up that there appears to be no guard above the exhaust pipe at the gap between the cab and bed of the 2015 Silverado. I had some mulch pile up there and after an hour on the highway it ignited. Luckily I had water nearby that I accessed but it made for some anxious moments. My 2001 had a big aluminum guard over this area. I haven't had the time to dig any deeper but the proximity to the gas tank was a tad disturbing.

Wish I could type the whole story but this also happened to me in a 2002 Silverado I think it was a bed sheet when moving furniture but not sure. That truck was on fire and got put out. It was backed up to my new house at the time it caught fire. I got back in and drove it farther down the yard for fear it would ignite the house. I think I will look at my truck maybe a shield could be made.
