Truck, meet car. Car, meet truck.

Got rear ended on the way home from work this evening. Came up to a light and stopped but the guy behind me didn't. Well he did stop, just not when he should have. :sigh: I flick the hazards on and started the long dreadful walk to the back of my truck. As I walk down the side of the truck I see his car all bashed up with the hood doing the upside down "U". I asked if he was OK and he said that he was fine, then I looked at the back of my truck and did a double take then I swear ... inside.. I was dying laughing.

Truck is dusty and dirty from a lil offroading during the 4th... but ...

Read end damage?

I think he scratched my bumper! The nerve!

What hurt me the most... my TEXAS hitch cover. He took it for the team.

As far as cosemtic damage... nothing major as you can see. But in anycase, I'll take the truck down to my mechanic tomorrow and have him look at it for underlying damage. I just can't beleive the difference in my damage to his. This just confirms it... I'll never buy a car again. Just big trucks with big trailer hitches!

In my book, :uhoh: gets a big ole  !!!

She has been rear ended 3 times. With zero repairs.

Only visible damage is the bump strip on the right side and right under that is a silver dollar sized dent in the bumper and another dent/scratch just right of the tag.:uhoh:

Now the hitch has caused a good bit of damage though, but thats not my fault. :sigh::smash:

That would be the "ball hitch." Cuz y'see it's a metal ball on a hitch, hence the name "Ball hitch."

I know, I'm a smartass. But like my dad always says, "It's better to be a smartass than a dumbass." :uhoh::cheers:

Some woman rear-ended my old 92' Chevy ext cab at a stoplight. Destroyed the front end of her Pontiac. Put a couple of scratches in my bumper. It had some dents in it before she hit me. Her insurance gave me $325 for a new bumper that I didn't even need.

I got mine from the Cowboy Christmas Show when the NFR comes to town. So I'm not sure where I will get a replacement, just may have to wait till the guy comes back to town later in the year. My girlfriend is in Houston right now on business, so I asked her to keep an eye open for another one.

Little Update : I got the truck washed today and I think I washed the scratch off.
