16"x6.5" OEM Silverado/Sierra Wheels on Express 2500?

My 2009 Express 2500 has the stock steel 16" wheels with stock size LT245/75/16 tires.

I want to replace oem wheels with some 16" wheels, but not have the tires stick out further. All of the aftermarket wheels I have found the offset and backspacing will cause the tires to be one to two inches out further than stock wheel.

On Craigslist and ebay there are 16" Silverado oem alloy wheels for sale with the 8 x 6.5 lug pattern such as: https://boise.craigs...6179303159.html

I know that the current Silverado lug pattern changed from the old 8 x 6.5 pattern that the Express still uses.

My questions are :

Have any of you tried putting 16" oem alloy 8 lug Silverado / Sierra wheels on an Express?

Are there any issues with not clearing brake components or rubbing with stock size tires?

The older oem Silverado / Sierra wheels I think have more backspacing than Express wheels, so would the tires be inward further and if so by how much?

P. S. I put the above topic on the Express / Savana van forum section of this website about five days ago and got no response, so re-posted here since this forum has much more activity.

I buy the 3/4 Ton Express steel wheels as spares ( spare tire) as they fit same and have not been under a 2500HD truck bed. No issues. 2006 year wheels/ trucks
