The 6sp can be used as manual. Works great off road. Less chance of frying the clutch.

 

Not really, when you select a gear it still starts in 1st and only shifts up to the gear you selected. In the K2s it may change the shift points a tad but you're still not shifting manually. The closest you can get is to select 1st and just go up a gear when it's redlining or close and then it will shift. So the only time it will shift when you move the gear up is if the RPMs are passed the point that it would shift anyways. The only real advantage with that feature on an auto is if you're driving in the mountains and want to downshift for the engine brake.
