Turn signal shutting off

I replaced the turn signal "flasher" a little over a year ago when it started flashing all four lights when i used the left turn signal. now it started doing something completely different. when i am waiting at a light with the turn signal on it will stop working, then start again at random.

 

any ideas?

Sounds like your replacement has failed already. No surprise these days - parts have become utter junk lately.

 

Wiggle the turn signal lever when it starts acting up - could be a worn out switch (multi-function switch) too.
