I'm about to order some wax/polish for my Blazer.  I've used Nu Finish on my Mom's van with good results, I just want something better for my Blazer.  Cost and effort is not an issue, although I would like to put it on by hand.  If you have any recommendations please let me know what you use and what your results have been, with links to pics if possible.

I'm surprised that the "Zaino zombies" haven't been all over this one.   :lookaround:

I use 3M (available at a local Napa) and won many awards with it.  So I'll leave it at that.

I'll second the 3M paste wax.  When I used to have my GTI, thats all I used (black paint too).  I got incredible results from that stuff.  Its a little more $$$ but well worth it IMO.   :)

if you have ALOT OF TIME use the 3m stuff.  It is good they used it on my truck to get a nasty scratch the bodyshop put in it out.

I like zaino cause i dont have the time to actually buff my truck

Where can you get Zaino?  What's wrong with turtle wax, doesn't it work just as good?  I hate having to buff it, so you don't have to with Zaino?  I'm pretty much limited to Autozone, as there aren't any truck or car places around here.

BTW, anyone have steel wheels?  What do you use for them?  (besides WD-40)

I agree that the 3M stuff is great.  But you do need to set aside quite a bit of time.  The Imperial Hand Glaze and Finesse It Micropolish have been in my "box" for years now.

I've always liked Liquid Glass for the protectant though.

And to firecadet613:  Nu Finish will cause some serious swirl marks after you've used it enough.  Even though it says it safe for it, I wouldn't touch clear coat with it.

I used to use Meguiar's Gold Class and was very happy with most of the results.  The one result I wasn't happy with was the fact that it seemed like I had to apply another coat (or two) every month or so.  The combination of a dark green car and the South Carolina sun destroyed the wax.  In October, just weeks before buying the Sierra I ordered Klasse on-line.  From what I understand about Zaino.  Klasse is similar in the fact that it's a two step system.  A protectant and a high gloss sealer.  The protectant is applied once and you can continue to layer the sealer.  Below, the truck hood and the Camaro (for extra interest look closely just above the turnsignal) have 2 coats.

This isn't the site I got Klasse from, but they offer the applicators included: http://www.properautocare.com/klasconkit.html
