2015 OEM Towing Mirrors

I have a 2015 Silverado with the standard mirrors which I recently had the OEM towing mirrors installed by the dealer. Yes they look great and it is nice not have the image in the mirror all blurry from vibrating, but I still have an issue. I pull a 8.5 wide car trailer and with the towing mirrors extended I cannot see down the side of the trailer. What am I missing? I would have thought that with the towing mirrors, especially OEM Chevy mirrors that I could at least see the back of the trailer. The large convex mirrors do help so see if anyone is beside the trailer but it is more than a little disconcerting not seeing the end of the trailer when backing up.

I have a 2016 High Country Silverado with the same problem. Can't See the back of the trailer or any one behind it.
