New compression ignition GAS engine coming from Mazda.

There is some marketing in this for sure, but it's interesting nonetheless. Some of the numbers seem a little over the top(30%? Really? What models)but they already delivered on their high compression on the skyactiv-G.

That would put the CX-5 at 38-40 mpg, or the Mazda 6 near (or over) 50 without any hybrid crap. 30% improvement  That would help pretty much any vehicle hit their 2030 or whatever CAFE numbers with a gas only engine. Hopefully they dont burn oil like a rotary.

That would be interesting.  Skyactive is already pretty impressive as-is.
