IT WORKED!! The new battery fixed the damn issue......it's crazy tho because the truck is only 7 months old I believe now

True, the truck is only a few months old, but who knows how old the crate of button batteries might be. Anyway, glad it was an easy fix. Happy Thanksgiving!

From my experiences, new FOB batteries fix 90% of the range complaints. The batteries don't last long, especially if you carry the FOB in your pocket, and the buttons are pressed for any length of time.

i have a 2017 Silverado LT that i picked up with 4400 miles on the clock. The remote for this thing looks like it is 30 years old. the rubber on the front of the remote is almost like disintegrating. i noticed when I was searching for a regular cab short box 4x4 the pictures on the internet that showed the remotes looked really worn as well (even though the miles were low) has anyone else noticed this with their remotes?
