I have the unlimited data but noticing it is super slow. It is supposed to be AT&T right?

Connected to truck WiFi I’m getting like 0.3 MBs download...

However disconnected using my phone with WiFi off I’m getting closer to 30.0 MBs!

My cell carrier is also AT&T. Anyone else have crummy connection? Could it be an antenna issue maybe?

Thanks!

I noticed the same thing during my trial. And it’s claims to have a more powerful antenna than your phone didn’t pan out either. Rural areas were even worse than my phone.

During my 3-month trial period I noticed that my LTE wifi in my Sierra was terribly slow and unreliable. Didn’t surprise me one bit. GM’s lte WiFi is more of a marketing charade, not a functional feature. Just something to tout on commercials to lure prospective buyers.

I got 14.33 down and 13.73 up with a 100 MS ping
I am paying $20 a month for it as I already used the 3GB trial
they way i look at it Is nearly the same cost as XM would be per month and we already have Amazon prime/ music/ video

I stream Amazon music when driving, both kids on the ipads looking at amazon prime videos and wife is on FB or Instagram... never had an issue on our last trip 3 hours each way and used 6 GB of data

Guess it must depend on where we’re located. GM uses at&t, and that service gets really spotty in northern New England. I suppose if I lived in a metro area it could be better.

Recent Speedtest by Ookla:  19.21 up - 10.13 down

I've been using the OnStar 4G for 6+ months in central Virginia with no noticeable drop in quality of service.  I stream music mostly due to my daily commute takes me too far away from the local cities to get clear FM radio signal reception.

Now the Sirrus XM reception is a different story, I get frequent dropouts even in seemingly clear obstruction areas.  I tried that service for limited time and dropped it completely.  When I called to cancel the service, their customer service tried to give me a "free" satellite radio receiver to mount on my dash to get a "better" signal.  I said no thanks to gadgets on the dash.
