Horrible Sound Issues in Silverado

Hello everyone this is my first post. I did a search before starting the topic and couldn't find one specific to this issue hopefully i didn't miss one.

 

I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71

 

The issue :  When I am playing music both on the radio or from my phone, it plays perfectly for a good while and than all of a sudden out of nowhere it completely turns to a horrible static. Its awful sounding and doesn't go away unless i switch from radio to phone or vice versa or just turn the truck off and start it again. This issue had happened rarely when I first bought the truck but now its becoming a regular thing. Everytime I play music I feel like the issue is going to happen and 7/10 times it does. I am putting in a call to the dealership shortly but I would like to know if anyone on here has had this issue so I can maybe have a little knowledge about the situation. Granted I like to listen to music somewhat loud sometimes, but for only 12k miles or so I expected a little more I guess....

 

Happened with my old iphone my new droid and also the radio. Thank you for any input

I had that happen with my 2014 a few times. I turned the Bluetooth off and back on and it would resolve it. Never found out what the issue was. So far no issue with that in my 2017.
