To trade or not to trade

I have had this on my mind since I got run over by a deer last week. I won't get my truck back until Thursday, so I've been doing a little snooping at the local dealers. I have always been against buying new vehicles, but with some of the rebates being offered these days it makes its very tempting. I can get an 03 ex-cab LT z71 for invoice (about $31k) minus a 4k rebate. So I'd be looking at about 27k for a brand new vehicle. I would then have to decide whether I want to trade or sell my truck. I know I could get 19k for it by selling and maybe 17k for a trade. I really want an 02 black or grey LT z71 but have not been able to find one with under 40k miles, lots of pewter and red one's out there. I only owe about 13k on mine now. So when it's all said an done I can walk out with an 03 for around

23-24k, which is what the 02's are selling for. I really like me truck now, but I always wanted an ex-cab. (hopefully with no CLUNK!) What do you guys think?

I say go for it!

I don't have 4wd but I can tell you this much- The extra space in the extra cab sure does come in handy! If you can get into an 03 for 23k to 24k I'd say that would be a h*lluva deal!

BTW- There are some members here that have the discount cards that they can give to other people. I'm not sure if it's an employee discount or what, but it sounds like the people who use these cards get an awesome deal!
