Recently purchased log home. Has log walls inside on outside walls with wood tongue and grove planks on ceiling and interior walls. Looking to brighten it up some while leaving the actual logs alone, probably. Can drywall be applied directly over the tongue and groove wood plank? Suggestions? Pictures?

Sure you can.

Painting it would be easier and cheaper.

Scuff up the surface, sand it, primer then paint.

Or my choice, leave it.

We have a house and a log cabin. To us, the look of the wood inside is beautiful and wouldn't change it. To us, the look of wood is beautiful. So I have to say I agree with diyer2 well past 100%..
