Oil consumption, misfires and others.

I bought a new engine from a local engine shop. I ran the break in oil almost 1k miles. And switched to regular oil. The truck burns 2 quarts every 300-500 miles. I also get a misfire on cylinder 2 and 3 around 2100 rpm. It goes away before and after that range. The intake manifold is coated in oil. The off hose is soaked. I tried the new style pcv valve and even the newer valve cover for the 07 nnbs trucks and still does it. It runs extremely well and you can't feel the misfire. It only shows on scanner and engine light flashing. I don't know how the oil is getting into intake.

Info on truck.

2001 z71

5.3

241 heads

Long tubes

Cold air intake

I replaced the entire fuel system, all engine sensors, coils, plugs, wires, injectors with engine 6k miles ago.

Contact the local engine shop that sold you the engine.

Sounds like ring problems and massive blow by to me.  Aeak down and compression check seems to be in order.
