Activating wire harness w/o to package

I just bought a 2003 2500HD. It had every option I wanted except the tow package. I noticed the wiring plug was there by the spare tire, but when I plugged it into the adapter from my 2002, no lights. Any body know how to activate this harness.

 

Also, is that all I'm missing w/o the tow package? I have heard that I am also missing an aux trans cooler? Looks like one under there to me!

JIM............Heads up! Gm changed the trailer wiring set up on

the 03s. Your old plug from 99-02 trucks will not work !

Cheap old GM don't even give ya the hookup plug on 03s.

You have to go to the stealer and buy one SPECIAL for

your 03! ......................geo

Found out from the the parts guy at one of the local dealers that if you have the brake controler wiring harness from 00-02 all you need to do is switch the two wires labeled A and D on the plug with each other and it will work on the 03's. You can take the wiring harness plug apart be removing the blue pin lock clip and taking a small screwdriver and push out the two wires in position A and D and switch them (no need for the screwdriver to put them back into the plug) and replace the blue pin lock clip.
