Help with wiring 3rd brake light on Camper Shell 2018 Silverado

I purchased a used camper shell for my 2018 Silverado. The previous owner had a 2014 and after looking at his wiring harness I believe the the schematics for these trucks have changed. I'm not sure how to wire this up as I don't have a diagram or anything to go off of. The 1st picture is from my 2018 and the 2nd is from the previous owners. You can see the harness he made circled in red as well. Also the Plug for my truck is different from his.

 

If anyone has any advice, or could at least point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

I've heard doing that will also cause the 3rd brake light to blink when you have a the turn signal on. 

 

Do you know if your's does that or not?

Nope, works flawless.

Remember if your adding led to non led circuit you will need resistors too buddy!
