I **LOVE** my airconditioning

Well, today was the test. Over 100 degrees outside and my '03 Silverado was pumping cold air in the cab. I had the fan setting only on the second position. For the record, I have the manual dual temperature controller.

I really was amazed just how cold the interior was. I also was amazed just how easily the truck handled the awful heat in stop and go traffic. The engine didn't labor or have any heat problems. I saw several stalled vehicles with coolant problems and opened hoods. It really wasn't a good day for vehicles in slow traffic. I have never had a vehicle that could handle the heat and also keep the cab chilled as this one. :wtf:

I noticed that today too...windows were completely fogged over on the outside with moisture I think due to the 93% humidity outside.

I got one of those indoor/outdoor t-stats and 82* outside 63* inside :wtf:

thanks gm :wtf:

Fall is right around the corner. hang in there.

How about a trip to Arkansas? Where it's at least 95* by noon, and the heat index is over 105*. You know you spend too much time outside in the heat, when you walk into Wal-Mart and the air conditioning makes you shiver. My 01 has never really came close to overheating, but probably because I heard the temperature gauge was designed to not read above 210 or so until things really got hot. Any of ya'll heard this before?

Arkanas? You guys don't know what heat is. 94 by noon. How quaint. grinnnnn

I don't know what y'all are talking about. Hell, 96 is our nighttime low at times. And 104 is really kinda mild, that is windows open kinda driving weather. When it is 116, now that is when it is freakin' hot... 5 feet from he!!...out of water...and 200 miles from town...welcome to Nevada... :wtf:

Yeah....But it's a dry heat. :wtf:

I can't imagine what it would be like at 116, with a crapload of humidity to boot...That would be like walking around in a jacuzzi, or sauna all day. :wtf:

Trust me it sucks. I have done alot of work around streams and all for work during summers. Some of the areas have temps in the 120s with humitidy in the 80% range. Funny thing is, even with all that humidity, you can seem to sweat for the life of you after awhile, the sun and heat just evaporate it all off of your body the second it comes out of your pores. Talk about it being hot. In fact, I refuse to go do work in those places during the summers anymore. One case of bad heat stroke/exhaustion/blacking-out, was one to many for me...I work with a couple of jackasses who don't seem to understand you don't do work outside for hours upon hours in that weather... :wtf:

105 today in Tucson. Second summer with this truck, it's absolutely great. Nice and cold inside, the engine temp stays at 200 even sitting in the parking lot for 15 minutes plus reading the newspaper in the noon day sun. Just need to put heat rejection window tint on the side windows.

I guess I forgot to mention the 90% humidity... The temps might not be as high as the desert, but I'd take 110* dry heat any day over 100* plus 90% humidity.

I am with 01BlackZ71 humidity is worst... Don't mistake me though anything over a hundred degrees, humidity or not, is difficult to work in!

Yes you live in the human weenie roast for a few months out of the year. We get pretty hot up here in the valley north of Sacramento, I think we broke a record in july for # of days over 95, many of those were 105-108!! Coming up I-5 north of Sac two weeks ago at 5PM the mirror read 112 and the engine temp didnt budge, A/C Icy cold! :wtf: It probably doesnt hurt that I have a regular cab and it seems to cool down really fast, and stay cold, never have to run the fan speed past 1 or 2, oh and I have 35% tint on sides and 15% on the rear, that really helps!

P.S. I will be in Vegas next week, should be another good test of the A/C, this time pulling a trailer!

Yes sir, was in the teens when we got together last year. I know Phoenix was 114 my first day ever out there. I enjoyed the visits, not sure if I'll be out there again now that my uncle is gone, but if nothing else, we made it out a few times to enjoy his environment.

Counting those days to LV Randy, that I can assure you :wtf:
