Snow Plow Package

Looking at a 2015 Silverado 2500Hd to buy. Looked up the options and it has the snow plow package. I notice that it has the cab lights on the roof and not a big fan of that but was wondering if these trucks road differently with this package? I live in Texas so not plowing any snow. Anyone have experience with this? I just want to pull a travel trailer with it. Thanks

Pretty sure snow plow prep package has HD front springs, HD cooling, Trani cooler, at least they use too.

My only concern would be if it did plow snow in its earlier life!  I'm sure the ride will be typical of a 3/4 ton but how hard was it used?  People typically buy a 3/4 ton for its "work" qualities.
