2016 Silverado 4.3 died twice now

My dad has a 2016 4.3 v6 4x4 Silverado 33k miles. A few months ago it died on him while driving on the freeway. The dealership replaced all the wiring harnesses and fuse box I believe. It seemed to have solved the problem until it died on him again today while he was driving. It just shut off going 55 mph. He was able to get it restarted but it died again as soon as he put it in drive.

 

Anyone have this happen to them? If so what was the cause?

Hmmm I wonder what wiring harnesses they actually swap out. The main engine harness spider webs thought and inside the cabin.

That is a good point. Perhaps I didn't fully understand what my father told me about what they did last time.

I encouraged him to reach out to GM customer care and the dealership service manager to see what they will do. Having your truck die twice in 6 months when it's not even two years old is not right. Unfortunately he is just past the lemon law period.
