Weird Cruise Control Problem

I did a search and didn't find anything that matched this so...

I'm driving home on saturday and got on the expressway and went to set the cruise at 60 and let my foot off the gas. It imediately started to slow down like I hadn't hit cruise so I looked down at the guage, and the green cruise light is flickering on and off... And turning the switch for cruise on/off wouldn't make it stop. I tried speeding up hitting the break turning it on turning it off. Holding the coast button in... Nothing would cause it to work. I drove about 20 miles home wondering if it was going to kick in at any second but it didnt. Got to a spot where I could pull over and shut the truck off. Removed the keys and restarted and everything was fine. This morning it did the same. Anyone had this happend to them or does it sound like the cruise is out on my truck? So when I go in for my next oil change I have the steering whele clunk and a bad cruise to fix!

Sounds like you better have the dealer take a look at it, and for safety reasons, I don't think I'd drive with it on... Good Luck!!!

Well as an update... I went out to the truck this morning to go to work and noticed the door didn't unlock with the remote entry fob. So I was like WTH? I unlocked it using the key (first time for me with the new rig hehe) And imediately noticed I had no power. Popped the hood open and wigled the cable on the Pos terminal and she came alive. I then grabed a wrench and tightened the nut on the battery and she started right up and ran fine. I used the cruise on the way into work just to see if it was working and it worked fine, turned it on and off several times. I still plan on having the dealer look at it, but does anyone think a loose battery connection could have done that? Weird...
