phfkef
How are the roof lights sealed? How can I remove/lift them to check seal? Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
newdude
Foam base with a rubber or foam seal around each stud. The seals around the studs look kinda like the OnStar antenna. See pics here: https://www.amazon.com/GM-23463750-LAMP-ASM-FRT-IDENT/dp/B015NE9QXY K2 they are screwed in from inside the truck. You have to lower the headliner at the front to access the screws. phfkef
Thanks, I was hoping they were like the rear brake light with screws. Hope was that screws were hidden under cap somehow. I don't want to drop the liner to get at them. My concern arose from reading about leaky satellite antennas and roof lights. Foam base with a rubber or foam seal around each stud. cford716
I had the leaking antenna. Easy warranty fix. No need to "check" your seals, if they are bad you'll know it. This is one of those "if it ain't broke don't fix it" or touch it.
phfkef
So, you don't recommend a thin bead if silicone on the outside edges?Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk

(You will see water down by the parking brake) Replaced with a new seal under warranty. I have had no issues again there or ever with the roof lights 2 years later. You do what you feel you need to. 8lugCT
I've had mine for just over 2 years. I noticed water dripping down off of the mount for the visor, but only once. That was about one year ago. I haven't seen anything since.
