99 Silverado rear view mirror compass not working

My 99 Silverado rear view mirror compass/temp stopped working recently. Bought a new mirror off ebay and installed it, and it worked for a week but now is blank again.

 

I noticed when it was working the LED was very dim, which makes me suspect a voltage connection issue somewhere? 

 

Any help appreciated. thanks.

Ended up buying new one off Amazon, Gentex GENK20A Auto Dimming Mirror W/compass Temperature, and that did the trick. $172.
