Ooops. How bad is this? (Rear suspension stack)

I thought this bolt had to come loose to put the block in... now it spins freely... not freely but won’t torque down

You'll have to unbolt the u-bolts and lower the axle a little so there is a big enough gap between the bottom of the spring pack and the leafs. Then stick a pair of vise grips in there to hold the leaf spring center bolt head so you can retighten the nut back to spec.

Any idea what the appropriate to spec would be? It felt like it clamped down and wouldn’t tighten any more.

When you undo the u-bolts and lower the axle, the spring leaves will separate some because the leaf spring center bolt is loose. C clamp the spring tight together, tighten the center bolt as much as you can. It should hold the spring pack tighter, together. Some have bolt heads on them, some don't, you'll have to grab it somehow, to be able to tighten the nut down.

I used some vice grips and then tightened it down as humanly possible.
