Water depth fording

2018 2500 HD.. Z71 .. anyone know the water fording depth? It's pouring out and I was just wondering..

In all honesty, as long as it doesn't stall. The air intake is in the fender, so for that it's like 3 feet, BUT, everytime you go over the axles, the factory is going to tell you it's too deep and now your'e out of warranty. 

 

In reality, fresh water crossing can be tackled all the time, salt water will have you looking for shorts the rest of the trucks life. Don't stop, ever, if you can. If you do become immobile, don't turn off the engine when the tail pipe is under water, if it stalls in the water, don't try to restart it in the water, get it on dry land, yank the plugs, blow the water out. You will know when the engine ingests water. Don't try to start a hydro locked engine.
