Why not a modern version of a big block? 502 cubic inches of goodness, already in the crate engine offerings. Add nice fuel injection and an 8 or 10 speed Allison trans, 4.56:1 diff gears, yeah, why not?

Sorry if this was asked before, what block will the 6.6L gas motor be based on?  I've been focusing on my Duramax since I got it on Labor Day.  If it's good enough, I might replace my 2003 2500 HD 6.0L with one for hunting and boondocking.  Basic crew cab 4x4 I can sleep out in.  One I don't mind getting desert pinstriping on (white is good color for that, hard to see it).  ?

I'd  love to hang performance equipment on it like intake, headers and a good tuner.   Thanks
