Radio bulb

2003 silverado

Replacing bulbs on factory radio.  Also adding an aux, input to cd speaker out.

I removed one 4mm and (2) 3 mm.  While waiting on new bulbs to arrive, I spliced in an aux input at cd player speaker out.

Thought I would test the aux input.

Reassembled everything, connected to truck.  Radio didn't work at all.

Three bulbs are removed, but wasn't sure if it completed the main circuit or if they were separate?

If they complete. Then no worries, installing new bulbs should remedy the situation.  But if the radio should have still functioned, then I have a problem.
