No you would not.

 

First -- it is illegal.  Putting HID's or LED's in halogen housings is not DOT approved.  That doesn't stop people from doing it and most police officers have better things to do than pull people over for it so a lot of people follow the old "it's only illegal if you get caught" philosophy.  The choice is yours on that one.

 

Second -- aiming doesn't matter, you WILL blind other people.  The light scatter from reflector housings is not designed the same as projectors and is not suitable for HID's or LED's.

 

Your only legal (and polite if you care) options are replacement halogen bulbs like Silverstar, ZXE, Philips XtraVision, etc. or a properly done projector retrofit like 14Silvy is selliing.
