Opinions on after market performance coils

On a 2012 Suburban, I replaced the factory ignition coils after 75k with MSD Blaster coils and wires. It was a substantial improvement in both idle and acceleration smoothness. I am considering the same on my 2018 Silverado with 10K now. I am wondering if others have had good experience? Did I get the improvement on the 2012 because of the marketing claims (stronger and longer spark), or because with 75k, the old coils and/or wires were worn out?

Good wires yes. Coils not so much. Stock coils have gone to 1000RWHP+ even truck coils to 1600rwhp. there is a advantage to a multi spark or smart coils. But you shouldn't "feel" the difference with  spark wires or coils. if you did that would only mean you are burning all the fuel. But this is a issue you shouldn't of had before.

I would guess you are burning off fumes after TDC. This would allow for more scavenging at the exhaust port, but again I would bet no measurable increase in power.
