Burb and a Garbage Can

Just posted this on FSC, some drivers are really clueless..

 

On my way to work this morning I saw this Burb coming towards me with the strangest appearance near the front suspension. As it got closer I noticed it had a big Rubbermaid looking garbage can jammed in between the front end and the road and when I saw the driver I noticed she was yapping on a cell phone cruising like she didn't know OR couldn't HEAR the garbage can scratching the pavement (I could hear it even with my stereo on). I can't believe some people are that UNAWARE of their surroundings when driving. It really worries me when I think about it, especially with an idiot in a 5,000 plus pound Burb.   :0  :0  :0

I hit a 5 gallon bucket in my old S-10 on the highway and i knew it was there.  It fell off a truck and i had no where to go.  Hoped it would go under but the Ground clearance on the truck wasnt there.  I stopped immediately it was wedged pretty good

It could have been worse, she could have nailed one of those little econoboxes and be dragging it down the road and not notice.  LOL. Maybe she was calling someone to ask what she should do.  ;)

I thank God that NY passed a law that made it illegal to talk on a cell phone and drive at the same time.  Although I still see idiots doing it.

Yeah, it's kinda scary what some people can do behind the wheel.  

 

Despite what the media say about "agressive drivers", the largest percentage causes of accidents, etc, by quite a margin, is driver distraction and inattentiveness.  I see a lot more people doing stupid things behind the wheel clearly from not paying attention to what it is that they're supposed to be doing - driving!!!!

i think on the second day i had it was when the mailbox incident happened...i drove around for a week with the mirror dangling by some wires and stuff
