Side indicator lights on mirrors

I just got my 2015 GMC Denali  2500 and I've never been able to get the side indicator lights to stay on when driving, they flash when I unlock the truck but that's it. Any idea on to what could be done to get them to stay on while driving?

They come on with your headlights, or if you turn your fog lights on, I always turn on my fog lights.
