Waze > Google Maps.  Shows you where the cops are located.  I used it pretty much every time I drive.  Android Auto is far more useful than just maps.  Control SiriusXM app, Spotify, Plex Audio, using OK Google functions, reading texts, etc.  I only wish my daily driver had it, though I do have a Miracast setup in that car (BMW 335i).

I'm a CarPlay addict.. I don't think I could ever get another vehicle without it! The wired charging is excellent, very fast. I have iO6 system with factory NAV that never use. I prefer to use Waze or G maps.

I'm always listening to Apple music or a Podcast. Hands free with Siri works great too!

Installed the new charger module and turned the mat as suggested.  My iPhone xr with surphy silicone case charges wirelessly in my 2017!
