Very happy to be a part of this GM Forum! Learned a lot of information & got several ideas from other members when deciding to purchase as well as modify. Just thought I’d jump in here & send a pic of my 2014 Silverado & say thanks for all the ideas & helpful info!

Thanks; sure didn’t look like this when I bought it 18 months ago! It was just a “work truck” with 50K miles, & a $16,000 price tag. Since then I’ve done wheels, tires, running boards, mirror caps, door handles, tool box, bed rails, grille, bull bar w/KC light kit, tailgate latch, Pioneer Audio & some fake Z71 decals!  It’s the V6 2WD Z71 LOL ? (very proud of it though) Hell, for what I put in it, should have just bought the damm real thing??? LOL

You could have, but doing all of the "Day 2" mods is a lot more fun, and you learn a lot about the truck as you go.

Absolutely; & a lot less $$ than buying a Z71 from the dealership (30K+); had a blast doing it & I just love these Chevy trucks! So easy to swap things out; everything user friendly; sure I would love to have the crew cab, 4WD, 5.3L, etc. but this 4.3 V6 is smooth & powerful; 18mpg, & I really like the “look” of the single cab!

Here’s a “before” pic as well as the delearship internet ad; (those old steel wheels had to go! Picked-up those Z71 rims on Goodyear Wranglers with about 50K on them on OfferUp for $400!! (Then turned around & sold those originals for $300!)
