2008 GMC bed removal

Getting ready to remove the bed out of a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 v6, should there be anything that I should look out for or any special tools I would need?

Nope no special tools needed.  Take the 6 bolts off the bottom that hold the bed to the frame.  Remove the 3 screws that hold the fuel filler neck to the bedside, and unclip the two wiring harnesses back by the spare tire that provide power to the lights and the trailer connector.  

 

It is a pretty easy removal.

Be careful when torquing it back on.  I broke one of the 6 bolts on my 07 that I used to have.  Never noticed only having 5, but it seemed easier to twist the bolt off than it should have been.
