I have a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 2WD. It was shifting pretty hard from 1st to 2nd so I started my You Tube research and saw a video where someone replaced their TPS and it fixed the problem. I thought I'd give it a try so I went and bought a TPS (OEM). After changing it out, the truck wouldn't start. It would turn over, but wouldn't start. I did some more You Tubing and ended up replacing the ignition control module (OEM). The truck started right up. In addition, when I drove it, the hard shifting was gone. The only problem now is that when I start the truck it idles rough until it warms up and then it idles beautifully. You tube has no suggestions so I'm reaching out to ya'll.

 

I hope my story with the TPS and ICM can help someone.
