z71 Shock replacement.

Hello All,

New to the forum as well as the Duramax power train.

I recently purchased a 2016 Chevy 2500HD z71 with 60k on it and the front shocks feel a little blown out. I did some research and saw that quite a few people are less then satisfied with ride quality even when they are new. So I am looking to replace them, but also have been considering a small lift to comfortably clear Toyo MT 35's. I take the truck up a few mountains a week for work and would like something relatively cushy.  Was looking for recommendations if anyone has similar experience. The truck would be serviced by Schwabs if that makes any difference.

I am going with Bilstein 5100 for a smoother ride as many have stated. Just Waiting for warmer temperatures before changing.

+1 on the Bilsteins. This was the first mod I did on my truck.

Bilstein... and 5100 for the lift.

I put 4600's on the rear of my truck and it rides better. Waiting for better weather to do the fronts.

I am still searching on and off if KYB makes a Monotube that fits even if it's not the listed application specifically.   Only shock I want to run.
