Hey 02, I'm sorry I don't have any advice on the install, but I'm sure someone here can help out. I would like to know how everything turns out when you get those bad boys installed. I am looking at getting some headers for my truck and I would like to here how the TOG's work out for you.

Thanks

Some locking header bolts. you will also need a welder and saw-zaw. Those headers are mid-full length and will require modification to the Y-pipe to make them owrk. Those are suppose to give the 6.0, 25 or so rwhp and 30 ft/lbs of torque. They seem to be a good mod. But d**n, they are expensive. There is no way they have that much stuck into them. I can buy coated Hooker headers for my BB Chevelle for $400. These d**n truck headers are $650+.

Congrats! Excellent part! There was a guy on here about a year ago with a set on his 2500 Avy. Do a search, you may find his website with install pics. I will look as well.

You'll need a welder and a sawzall. I just had my TOG's installed yesterday on my 1500 Avalanche. I don't have access to a welder so I took it to a shop. $250 installed, probably would not have been worth my trouble anyway. The headers themselves are an easy-on, the shop commented it was a bitch getting the pipes cut to mate up properly for welding.

I believe GandolphXX has the TOG's installed on his 2500 Avalanche, I frequent CAFCNA.

No you don't, just run open headers. :sigh:

:) just playing. If it were me I would finish it up with a x pipe, no cats, and bullet mufflers. (O2 sim's or ls1 edit of course)

Unfortunately, I live in St. Louis and have to pass emissions.

I have already put on a Gibson dual-xtreme cat-back, drop-in K&N, throttle-body spacer, and MSD Superconductor wires. Also have the Vararam Velocity Stack on order.

Guess I'm getting old, I don't like the really loud mufflers for a daily driver any more!

I don't know about the truck motors, but many people with ls1 f-bodies can pass sniffer tests without cats. But then there is the visual test. :) Anyways I just thought that was pretty cool.

 I got my headers today and they are very nice. The ceramic coating was not what I was expecting, I was expecting them to look like a dull chrome but they look dark gray. O well looking good is nice but performing good is even better, should keep things around 80-100 degress cooler from what I hear. All in all I am happy with them as they are very well constructed. They also do not look nearly as hard to install as evey one makes it out to be. I should have them installed by saturday night if all goes well. I will let you guys be the first to know how they work out.
