My 2007 GMC Sierra Classic code P0849

My 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 2500HD just threw a code P0849 "automatic transmission fluid pressure switch". This was right after it started shifting hard, but only intermittently. I thought the hard shifting only happened when it was at operating temperature, but when I stopped at a light after it had been doing it continuously down the road for the past several lights, I shut the truck off and restarted it and it shifted normally the rest of the way home. The fluid level and quality is fine. Any thoughts?
