6.6' bed on 2012 Sierra crew cab 1500

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping someone can answer this question of mine. Currently I have a 2012 Sierra crew cab with the 5.8' bed. I am hoping to put a 6.6' bed on it. I looked up the specs and it seems that the extended cab with a 6.6' bed and a crew cab with the 5.8' bed have the same wheel base and overall length. Is it feasbile to do this?

Nope.

There is no way to move the leaf spring back which in turn moves the wheel back to fit the larger bed.

The frame was never designed for a 6.6 bed in the half ton. Only the 3/4 and 1 ton frames got the large bed as standard in those ears.
