Ignition wiring issue

I have a 96’ k1500 that’s my old secondary pick up truck. I had lost my keys to it so I decided to Hotwire it. Was really simple and quick. After doing so for some time..I believe the wires touched the metal framing and fried out and no longer have any power running thru the 2 power wires. Is there anyway to bypass or fix this? I see it goes down to a large harness holding a lot more wires besides the ignition wires.

Am I able to run a wire from the battery and bypass everything right to the ignition wiring and jump start it that way? Having a strong enough gage wire to hold power and to light up the accessory lights plus power the starter?

any thoughts on what to do besides having to take it to a shop would be great. Thanks

I don't know if this wiring diagram will help.  It is for a 97, and there might be slight differences.
