Motor Mounts

My warranty is up in about 6 weeks so I took my truck in to have a loose running board tightened up and I asked them to check the truck out for any possible issues since that warranty is about up. I was told that they went thru service bulletins that apply to my truck and one of the bulletins was for motor mounts. Evidently there was a design change for the motor mounts in 2016. They measured the amount of movement there was in my motor and it was about 3 times what it should have been therefore it needed the new motor mounts. They ordered the parts and are scheduled to be installed at the end if the week. The only thing I have ever noticed is occasionally when stopped at a stop light or stop sign I would feel a slight shiver in the engine but would smooth back out pretty quickly. I was just wondering if anyone else here has had their motor mounts replaced? If so was the a noticeable difference before and after?

The slight vibration at idle after the engine is warmed up is a pretty common issue. Mine isles as low as 500 rpm.

I had my mounts replaced with the updated parts. The shiver at red lights is gone.

I have a 15 CC Z71, at 41k the motor mounts were changed.  I had excessive engine vibration at idle speeds prior to the new motor mounts.

Now at 54k, it is still smooth at idle as when they were changed.  All covered under the powertrain warranty.

Do you have a TSB?
