No parking brake light at start up?

My parking brake light on the dash doesn’t come on at start up about 1 out of every 10 times when I crank the truck. I am pushing the brake all the way to the floor and the light always comes on when I engage it, it’s just hit or miss when I crank it. It doesn’t look like the pedal has come loose overnight or anything. Also when this happens I don’t get any warning if I drive with parking brake on. I always use the parking brake because I park on a hill. Anyone know why this is happening or if it can be fixed easily? Thank you for reading. Mine is a 2019 Silverado LD (it’s a legacy model so it has all the same features and same body style as a 2018)
