Much of the Midwest is 75mph and there are pockets of 80mph!

If you want to spend the time and money to replace something so you can go five miles an hour over the speed limit when you are in those areas, it is your money.

Its simple maths, it WAY cheaper for me to pay tickets and for Radar Detectors and Jammers than drive the speed limit.  I drive anywhere from 30K-50K miles per year and have averaged 55mph over the 96K miles I have put on the truck in the last few years.

40K Miles a year at an average of 45 mph = 889 Hours Per Year

40K Miles a year at an average of 50 mph = 800 Hours Per Year / 89 Hour Savings

40K Miles a year at an average of 55 mph = 727 Hours Per Year / 162 Hours Savings

So lets say that someone make $30/hour driving 10mph over the speed limit saves them $4,860/year!!!!

Sure you could make an argument about the 1-2 mpg's that I lose but that is less than $500/year.

Have you done a road force balance. Cured my vibration.

I have tried twice on the new tires and many on the older sets.  So far I have used the OEM GY on the stock 20in Denali wheels, a set of stock 18's with OEM Bridgestone Duelers and the newest set is the new Michelin LTX II's.

I have always had a vibration but it seems to be getting progressively worse, though I don't have data to support this, so I might just notice it more now.

This is an interesting app on your phone. What is it? thank you...

It is literally called "Vibration Analysis" and I found it on the Apple App Store.   Note that the key is to get an app that preforms an FFT, Fast Fourier Transform, without this feature or being able to export to Excel and coding a spreadsheet to run this it would be very hard to interpret any data.

No takers? Could be axle run out. Flanges not concentric to the bearing journals.

Yukon. Summers Brothers. Currie Enterprises. Moser. Mark Williams. Strange Engineering.

YES, that is a great idea, I did not even think to check the flange runout!  I will get out my dial indicator and see how much run out they have when I do the rotors.  The next questions would have to be, what is allowable or an amount that may cause this?  Looks like I need to do some more research.

By Yukon do you mean the axles out of a GMC Yukon or are you referring to purchasing an entire rear end?

Thanks for the tip!
